Kindly assist me with the following complain about Jeppe College.
I Keitumetse Tsimane of student no JC13198 and ID No 8906100730084 living in 28A Huntley Street, Brixton 2092 enrolled for a two year diploma in PC Engineering course with Jeppe College Johannesburg in January 2013 and graduated in March 2015.
In June 2017 i was offered the IT internship by the department of Social development in Gauteng. As the department was verifying the qualifications they only found IT Technical Support Level 4 and System Support Level 5 to be the only valid certificates and they accepted me as it was minimum requirement to be accepted for the internship and they could not verify my diploma to be considered for permanent position after completing the internship. Then the Department's HR advised me to go to SAQA in Pretoria to assist in evaluating the City and Guilds IT Diploma so that it can be alligned with South African Qualification. I on the 5th June 2017 then went to SAQA and upon my arrival one of the officials i found at the reception told me that unfortunately my certificate doesn't have an AFQUAL logo which is defined to be the evaluation requirement and was advised to go back to the college to report the matter. It was on the 5th June 2017 when i approached Jeppe College to help me resolve the issue, but to date i haven't been assisted by the college regardless of the follow-ups and effort i took about this matter with the college, the response i always get when i enquire the college about the progress in resolving the matter, the directors of the college reply" the matter is no longer in their hands but with their lawyers and city and guilds, be patient with us"
Kindly assist me in being refunded by the college because i am now struggling to find a job and i have been patient enough since i reported this to the college in 05 June 2017. I could not even be considered for permanent employment after i completed the internship with Department of Social Development in June 2018 because of carrying a useless qualification Jeppe College claimed to be a diploma. I am not the only one affected by this there are some of my peers who are also affected.
Please also assist me with the following questions.
1. Is Jeppe College registered with DHET?
2. Is Jeppe accredited to offer diploma?
3' Is the diploma attached accredited by SAQA?
